Under the Tuscan Sun, Key Biscayne-style

I've been following Laura's work for quite a while, and one afternoon in February I started drafting an email although - I never got to send it! So when she reached out to me asking me to be a part of this real couple's love story, I thought, oh how serendipitous! Truly the universe finds a way for like-minded creatives to collaborate.

Giulia and Consuelo are make-up artists from Italy who were on their honeymoon, and they were basking in newlywed bliss, which made for a perfect editorial session. Laura worked with Chiara of Weddings in Tuscany, a boutique event planning studio in Florence, Italy to bring the couple's vision to life.

The vision was to bring the Tuscan sun to the beaches of Miami, and Key Biscayne was the perfect backdrop with its muted blues and dusty white sands. I was immediately inspired by this palette, and thought, with the wine, the sunflowers and the golden sunshine - the perfect complement would be cool hues of blues to give it some laid back beach vibes. So I chose handmade paper by Saint Signora in a sea gray shade and crisp white ink to design the invitations and stationery. The design is made using all hand calligraphy, of course!

The Amalfi suite is reminiscent of the cool dreamy blues of the Mediterranean sky. I designed a very delicate script that resembled the almost lace-like layers of sea foam against cool ocean blues. I had major wanderlust making this suite, and I hope you love it as much as I did making it.

Beach editorials are tricky because you never know how much light and how much wind you'll get. But Laura chose the perfect day, and the perfect spot in Crandon Park, one of my favorite beaches in Key Biscayne, Florida. Everyone was relaxed, and the soothing sounds of nature accompanied us while working on our different elements. This editorial is one of my favorites to date. Laura was such a delight to work with, and we absolutely adored her drone "Scotty".

This was a small group, with a lot of love for real couples and a loooooooooot of talent. So incredibly honored to be part of it all. Check out their work below:
